“Oxfam Australia is part of a global movement of dedicated people working hard to fight poverty and injustice. We know that hand outs are not the answer. Instead we give a hand up and take a holistic approach to the problems people face around the world.

Oxfam campaigns for change around the causes of poverty, we respond to disasters and emergencies and also fund sustainable community development programs. We support women and men to make a decent living and lead dignified lives; ensuring access to clean water, healthcare, education and sanitation as well as supporting people in times of violence and natural disasters. It’s through this holistic approach that we truly believe our vision of a just world without poverty can be achieved.
